How it works

Three steps, and it's official.

No office visit, no waiting room. Most appointments take about 20 minutes once we arrive, and your documents are notarized on the spot.

  1. Tell us what you need

Call or text (916) 222-2251, or send a request online. We respond fast, often within minutes, and can confirm a same-day appointment when one is available.

  2. We come to you

Our notary travels to your home, office, hospital, care facility, or anywhere else you'd like to meet, across Sacramento and the surrounding counties, on your schedule.

  3. Signed, sealed, done

We verify your identity, witness your signature, and apply the official seal. Your documents are legally notarized before we leave.

How a mobile notary appointment works, in three steps: 1. Call or text us and tell us where you are and what needs signing. 2. We come to you, at home, hospital, office, or care facility. 3. It is signed on the spot: we check ID, witness the signature, and seal it. SacTown Mobile Notary, (916) 222-2251, 7 days a week, 8am to 10pm.

Dean is amazing! I was running late and he was willing to wait in my office for me. Not that you should do that to him, but I was very grateful. He’s super professional and very quick and I will use him for any future needs. Thank you!

Before we arrive

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to sign my documents before the notary arrives?

No. This is the most important rule. Do not sign your documents before the notary arrives. The notary must personally witness your signature to perform a valid notarization. If you sign beforehand, the notary cannot notarize the document and your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

How quickly can a notary come to me?

Same-day and rush appointments are often available throughout Sacramento and surrounding counties. The fastest way to check availability is to call or text us at (916) 222-2251. For non-urgent appointments, you can also submit an online request and we'll confirm a time that works for you.

What ID do I need to bring?

You'll need a government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include a California driver's license or ID card, U.S. passport, U.S. military ID, a driver's license or ID card from another state, or a passport from your country of citizenship. Under California law the ID must be current, or have been issued within the past five years, so a recently expired ID is often still fine. If yours is older than that, call us before the appointment.

Do you travel to hospitals and senior care facilities?

Yes. Our notaries travel to hospitals and senior care facilities throughout Sacramento, including UC Davis Medical Center, Sutter Medical Center, Mercy General, Kaiser Permanente Sacramento (Morse Ave), and other hospitals in the area. We also serve assisted living communities, memory care facilities, and skilled nursing centers throughout the region.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Sacramento, Placer, San Joaquin, Sutter, El Dorado, and Yolo Counties, covering Sacramento, Elk Grove, Folsom, Roseville, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, Natomas, Pocket/Greenhaven, West Sacramento, Davis, Lincoln, and many more cities. See our full service area page.

How much does mobile notary service cost?

The travel fee is $50 for standard locations and $65 for hospitals and care facilities. The notary fee is $15 per notarized signature, the California state-regulated maximum. Both travel fees are flat, with no distance surcharges and no hidden fees. Call or text (916) 222-2251 and we'll confirm the total before we come out. We take cash, credit card, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App.

What are your hours? Are you open on Sundays?

Yes. Our notaries are available 7 days a week, including Sundays, from 8am to 10pm. Evening, weekend, and same-day appointments are a normal part of mobile notary work, not an exception. Call or text (916) 222-2251 to book a time that fits your schedule.
